Three weeks of staff training, twenty seven courageous staff…
During intercession we sensed to anoint the North, South, East and West corners of the nation with oil; traveling Mathew chapter 10 style. “Preach this message: the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with leprosy, drive out demons, do not take silver or copper, take no bag, tunic, sandals or staff!” Wow, the challenge was on!
We ventured out. Teams, according to their level of faith, departed on the ultimate faith journey…very much as Jesus instructed his disciples some 2,000 years ago.
Groups were astonished as they traveled Haiti, one of the poorest of the poor nations. We rapidly discovered a spirit of generosity and blessing which was truly remarkable! A team was thirsty, only to have a bottle of water fall into a members lap! When he asked who it belonged to, no one claimed it! Water from Heaven? Most teams ate far better than we do on the YWAM base! Feet that walked without sandals were not cut. The days were cloudy and cool reducing sunburn! A team not only traveled for free and without money, but was also received food on the bus. This same team amazingly also returned with money in their pockets after leaving with nothing…truly extra ordinary!
Jeremiah 29 was the message the Lord asked us to instruct, “For I know the plans that I have for you Haiti… Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future!” Haiti’s future is bright she will indeed become a blessing to the nations instead of a curse. Zachariah 8:13
New YWAM bases were requested, land and homes were offered for new ministries, many wanted to be accepted for this DTS. The four corners of the land were anointed with oil preparing the nation for the first ever DTS to be held in Port Au Prince!
During morning prayers the Lord showed a bonfire. Later, that evening, the same team anointed Liberty Park with oil the Lord clearly spoke Zachariah 3, that the enemy was rebuked, an angel commissioned and stationed over the land, and an exchange of filthy rags for clean white robes was to happen. A strong wind rose from nowhere as they prayed. As they opened their eyes, they gazed across the park, and there was the bonfire!! At the fire they met an English speaking man. He led them to a woman two years paralyzed in bed. After 15 minutes of prayer the women was up and walking across her hut three times!!!
A team picking up trash in a park was approached by a radio reporter. He conducted an interview on the spot. The team reported Gods hope for the nation, Gods unconditional love for Haiti’s people…”turn to Him and you will be a Blessing unto the Nations!” Two hours later they were astonished to find that the message was broadcast on radio across the city to a population of 260,000!
There are too many stories to tell. Now is Haiti’s time…no more despair! The Lord is powerful and moving with tremendous hope in this nation. Our staff is international, from many nations, as we journeyed and discovered the rich generosity of these people, Haiti is truly becoming and indeed already has become a blessing to the nations!!!

This is so exciting to see God answer prayer and show His glory as you step out in faith-obedience to His words leading you to the treasures he has hidden in that Island nation.
